Cleveland Heights followed in Cleveland’s footsteps and soon saw the growing need for lead safe housing. Starting in 2024, Cleveland Heights landlords will be required to get their properties lead safe certified. If lead safe certification is not met by the roll out dates listed below, there will be penalties. “… shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned not more than six (6) months, or both. Each day such violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense.”
