Multiple location management presents unique challenges for lead safe certification. Unlike other management issues, an overlooked or expired certificate exposes management to potential fines and court appearances. The mandate under the law covers all residential rental units built before 1978.
After careful analysis and consideration, your Touchstone team created a management tool that brings all locations into a recording mechanism that is regularly updated. Based on your expressed needs, a report schedule is established. In your report you will see all of your locations and their real time progress toward certification and/or renewal. Whether you manage your own properties or you are part of a property management company, you will always be able to account for your progress and results.
Important Milestones of Progress
As with any significant accomplishment, there are key milestones along the way. Each address that you provide will show progress with these milestones. You will know when the samples were sent to the lab as well as the date the Touchstone report is sent to the city. You will be alerted when the lead safe certificate is issued by the Building and Housing Department of the City of Cleveland.
The final achievement will be receiving your rebate if it is offered by a municipality or non-profit in support of a lead safe world. Touchstone will assist you with the rebate application until the dollars are received.
